Privacy Policy

This site has a narrow purpose: putting 25 Yarra Valley tours side by side, from half-day tastings to balloon flights over the vines and private charters in a '56 Chevrolet. Nothing here requires an account, a sign-up or a payment. You can read every comparison page without telling us who you are, and this policy sets out the small amount of data that changes hands when you do.

What This Site Records

Traffic is counted in aggregate only. When someone opens a tour page, the tally records the page itself, the site that referred them, the kind of device in use, and clicks on the links out to live booking pages. That is where it stops. No name, email address or card number is ever requested, because there is nothing to log into and no checkout on this site. We cannot tell which reader compared which Balgownie or Chandon tour, and we have no wish to. Payment details belong to the operator's booking page, which keeps whatever you enter there under its own care.

Third-Party Scripts

Tracking on this site is deliberately thin. One analytics cookie counts anonymous page views so it is clear which tour pages people actually read, and that is its whole job. Where a map appears, it is served from the map provider's own servers, which means that provider sees your IP address and applies its privacy policy from the moment the map loads. Readers who would rather not send that data can block third-party scripts in their browser settings. Every other part of the site, including the tour comparisons themselves, works without them.

Every booking is completed on the live listing page, never on this site. The moment you click through, the operator's own systems take over, along with their cookies and their terms. Winery sites you reach from here work the same way. How this site earns its keep is explained on the disclosure page.

What We Never Do

• Sell, rent or pass on your details to anyone, for any reason.
• Load retargeting pixels or ad trackers that follow you around the wider web.
• Request your email address. There is no newsletter and no mailing list to join.
• Take a payment or hold a seat on a bus. Every booking for the tours listed here, from the Melbourne half-days to the private '56 Chevrolet runs, happens on the live booking page under the operator's own terms.
• This site runs a simple mailto contact. The contact page opens your own email program, so whatever you write travels from your account to ours and is never stored on, or read by, anything this site hosts.

Hosting

Hosting sits behind a content network that records standard server logs, IP addresses included, for security and abuse filtering. Nobody reads those logs to build a profile of you or to work out which Yarra Valley tour pages you spent time on.

Your Choices

Want to travel lighter online? An ad blocker or script blocker causes no loss of function here. Every comparison page is plain text and links, so with scripting switched off you can still weigh a Vinetrekker full day against a Hop It hop-on hop-off pass, read the from-prices, check the 8-hour runs against the 5-hour ones, and follow through to the live booking page. Static pages were chosen for exactly this reason.
